About the Token
$GIGA is a Solana token deployed by GigaChad himself. The mission is to pay tribute to Ernest Khalimov, the original GigaChad and Crypto OG. We do this by sending $GIGA to an outrageously high market cap. It started with a photoshoot of Russian bodybuilder Ernest Khalimov, shot by photographer Krista Sudmalis. On October 16th 2017, a photo of Khalimov from the shoot was posted to 4chan. The term “GigaChad” was born. In the following years, the meme spread and the lore grew. People were fascinated, speculating on if the photos were real. On April 13rd, 2021, the legacy of Giga Chad was cemented. After years of silence, Khalimov shared his thoughts about the meme on Instagram. Khalimov said he likes the meme, and that it paints him as a more interesting person than he is.
